The Mineral Lake
The Mineral Lake is crystal clear, as pristine and translucent as a flawless emerald. It exudes an enchanting, enigmatic glow that captivates every visitor.
It is said that the sea in this region was constantly tumultuous in ancient times. Survival for fishermen meant contending with the sea as a way of life. The South Sea Dragon Maiden, deeply moved by their diligence and bravery, arrived at Lingding Ocean. Riding on auspicious clouds, she effortlessly cleared the weather with a sweep of her sleeves. In an instant, the tempestuous sea became a tranquil expanse. Fishermen who braved these waters were rewarded with plentiful catches of fish and shrimp, bringing them great delight.
The tale of the Dragon Maiden spread among the people, bringing joy to her heart as she blessed the fishermen daily. With the increasing arrival of fishing boats, the Dragon Maiden became engrossed and forgot to depart. Concerned by her daughter’s absence, the Dragon Mother sent soldiers to search for her. The soldiers scoured the heavens and eventually found the Dragon Maiden in Lingding Ocean. Despite their pleas, she adamantly refused to return. Forced to take action, the soldiers employed thunder, lightning, stirred up winds and waves, and resorted to magic to capture her.
The sea-working fishermen were caught off guard, swallowed by massive waves in this sudden sea calamity. Witnessing their plight, the Dragon Maiden couldn’t stand idly by. She strained to rescue them, but the sheer number of distressed souls was overwhelming. After tirelessly bringing the last fisherman to safety, she succumbed to exhaustion, unable to bear the weight of the situation any longer.
As the sea regained its tranquility, people discovered the Dragon Maiden barely surviving at the base of the rocky mountain. Upon seeing the fishermen saved, the Dragon Maiden shed her final tear and passed away. Her tear, too, merged into a crystalline spring of water.
The sea has now experienced profound transformations. It was only upon the stone miner excavating this clear and translucent “blue tear” that the water was revealed to visitors, displaying deep emotions and strength.
